Very informative and balanced, in my opinion. We will continue to purchase our produce at the local Farmer's Market. Whole Foods will remain an special "outing" as it has always been.

Is Whole Foods evil?
The "largest" Whole Foods market in the west is almost within walking distance from our place. Still I am not a big fan of shopping there except for a few special items mainly because it drains my wallet quickly. Besides we love to shop at the local Farmer's Market for produce. V, on the other hand, really enjoys the whole shopping experience at "Whole Foods" and also took amma/appa there several times to extol its virtues. Today Slate has an article on the ethics of Whole Foods when it comes to selecting the produce it sells.
